(date change, new date: Wed 4/20)
Dear Coach, Youth Worker and Mentor,
Adolescent dating violence is affecting the youth in our community. According to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, 1 in 10 high school students has been purposefully hit, slapped or physically hurt by a boyfriend or girlfriend. You may even know of 7th and 8th graders that are "dating" and may have little or no awareness of this issue.
Join us in a character building event for your team or join us to raise awareness and find resources for our youth. White Ribbon Campaign Pledge. The event is free to you, your teens and family members. We need your help in getting 13-20 year old young adults to be part of this event. We are providing transportation and welcome assistance.
Please feel free to contact (413) 538-9717 for more information.
On behalf of all us at Womanshelter/Compañeras we look forward to seeing you April 21, 2016 at Holyoke High School.
The JDI Community Portal is a registration site for our public events as well as a password protected site for staff at JDI and JDI member programs as well as the JDI Board of Directors and White Ribbon Day Affiliates and Ambassadors.
