About the Technology and Safety Initiative
Technology is a new way to provide resources, support victims/survivors of sexual and domestic violence. It could also dire consequences in the event of technology failure.
We know electronic technology such as computers, cell phones, the Internet, social media can help domestic violence victims learn about community services, find housing and employment opportunities, or research protection orders. However, there is a dangerous side to electronic technology that also gives domestic violence batterers new ways to harass, stalk, terrorize and control their victims.
The JDI Institute is hosting a series of Tech Safety Webinars. We'll launch this initiative with a State of the state web call.
