Melrose White Ribbon Day

When: Thursday, March 7 at 8:00 am

Where: Aldermanic Chambers at City Hall, 562 Main Street, Melrose

Stand up. Speak out. Act to prevent violence against women.

It's time to take a stand against violence towards women! Join us on Thursday, March 7 at 8:00 am in the Aldermanic Chambers at City Hall, where Melrose will host its 2nd Annual White Ribbon Day event. This event calls upon men to stand up and be counted as allies against violence towards women, and is part of a larger, world-wide White Ribbon Day campaign that's designed to promote positive masculinity and change the social norms that foster inequity, abuse of power and violence.

The 30-minute ceremony will include a Proclamation of White Ribbon Day in Melrose, remarks by city community leaders ,a pledge of non-violence, and raising the White Ribbon Day flag in front of City Hall.
