Continuing the dialogue – Boys, boy culture and bullying.

Following our last session featuring the film “The Boy Game”, we will continue the rich and complex conversation about boys, boy culture and bullying.  Considering the connections to gender based violence, culture and masculinity, what can be done to promote healthy lives for boys?  This will be a roundtable dialog.  One question will be how can mentors of boys contribute to solutions.

Discussion co-Facilitated by
Matthew Swoveland, Director of Youth and Prevention Programs
The Second Step, Newton MA.

The Men’s Leadership Roundtable,
coordinated by the Men’s Initiative for Jane Doe Inc., is a meeting place for male colleagues and their allies to promote positive masculinities, safety and health in men’s lives.  Our work with men and boys is grounded in our interest in changing social norms to prevent sexual and domestic violence. The Roundtable is a forum for expanding our collective knowledge and understanding of the issues, programs and practices that foster positive change with men and boys.
