Webinar Description:  In this webinar, Massachusetts domestic violence and animal protection victim advocates will learn about the linkage between the urgent need to protect domestic violence victims and their pets from further abuse and the comfort that pets can provide, especially in times of stress and trauma, and to expand SAF-T to more shelters throughout the state. Additionally, the webinar will highlight SAF-T housing models, examples of organizations integrating SAF-T in the United States and worldwide, and working in partnership with animal shelters, veterinarians, and other partners.  

Trainer Bio: Allie Phillips is the Founder & CEO of Sheltering Animals & Families Together (SAF-T)TM and is also a former prosecuting attorney. She has worked for the National District Attorneys Association as the Founder/Director of the National Center for Prosecution of Animal Abuse and Deputy Director of the National Center for Prosecution of Child Abuse. She has been training prosecutors and criminal justice professionals since 1997 and is internationally-recognized for her work about the link between animal abuse and family violence. She created the SAF-T Program which is the first and only global initiative working with domestic violence shelters to create on-site pet housing programs.
