A CALL TO MEN's Virtual Training Institute 

When:
Wednesday, December 16th and Thursday, December 17th
Both days from 12:00 PM to 4 PM

IMPORTANT (Read Note): Participants MUST attend both sessions. This is an intentional community building experience and your time on both days is required. Please do not register if you cannot commit to attending both days. 

Who: People of all gender identities and expressions are invited to register.

Event Description: 

JDI is offering a free advanced anti-sexism/anti-racism training facilitated by A Call to Men.

The training deconstructs the collective socialization of manhood, explores the intersections of male supremacy and white supremacy, and positions healthy manhood as the solution to ending all forms of gender-based violence. The virtual Training Institute is engaging, interactive, and transformative.

Participants will be empowered as practicing allies in gender and racial justice work, and gain an increased understanding of: 

  • The Collective Socialization of Manhood
  • Understanding the Experiences of Marginalized Communities
  • Power Analysis of the United States
  • Exploring the Institutional Human Service Arrangement
  • Race and Sex Construct
  • Dismantling Anti-Blackness
  • Politics of Accountability
  • White Supremacy Culture
  • Moving Beyond the Binary
  • Understanding the Impact of Trauma
  • Future Action and Commitments 

About A CALL TO MEN

A CALL TO MEN seeks to address intersectional oppression at its roots by intentionally centering the experiences of those who reside at the margins of the margins to secure our collective liberation.   A CALL TO MEN has 20+ years of experience working with and training communities, including the National Football League, the National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, National Hockey League, the United States Military, the Department of Justice, the United Nations, corporations, organizations, and educational institutions across the United States and abroad.
